Although vulnerability encompasses openness and innocence to trust, it seems as though the willingness to get hurt is the more challenging aspect…at least it is for me. I crave the openness and the innocence but definitely do NOT long for getting hurt.

Maybe this would be better phrased as the intolerable need for honesty and the uncertainty that keeps me stuck. There is a weight on my heart that I feel needs to be seen and heard, but there is such uncertainty around it all: how will it be received? How will I deal with the fear that is sure to come up after I share? What impact will it make in my world, both professionally and personally?

Love exists within each of us from the moment we are born and waits to be discovered from then on.

Determination includes setting boundaries, such as limiting how much outside information you take in. It also requires a loving dose of courage in order to stay true to you, especially in uncertain times when your view may differ from somebody else’s.
