Grateful
I'm taking a break from all that looms on my to-do list to honor the gratitude that I'm feeling today.
In the midst of uncertainty, I am choosing to honor what I know and what is real.
I am blessed with amazing people in my life.
In the midst of concert preparation and book publication, I am repeatedly graced with receiving immense love and support.
I am grateful, yet grateful doesn't seem sufficient.
I have invited friends to be a preview audience for my upcoming piano concert. They all said yes. They mirror to me what doesn't always sink in for myself. They create a safe space for me to lean into the vulnerability of expressing my soul through my playing. Their presence and support remind me that it's about connection, not perfection.
I am grateful.
Important people in my life made time in their busy schedules to read and edit my book, which is a HUGE ask on my part. It takes a lot of time and focus to read a manuscript for grammar, usage, punctuation, redundancy, clarity and more after a long day at work. Not only did they read it with a sharp, keen eye, they also offered support for the content, style of writing and concepts that resonated with them. Again, I was shown what I'm not always able to see.
I am grateful.
The real marvel in all of this is that it doesn't only happen when I have big events in my life.
It happens daily.
I am graced with love and support in so many ways by so many different people (and animals!) every single day.
I am grateful.
How has your day been graced by love and support?
How often do you remind yourself to be grateful for those people or events?
Invite gratitude into your heart and mind.
Offer it.
Receive it.
Everybody benefits.
