It doesn't require a pandemic to take a moment and give thanks, but I do hope you are taking time to be grateful for your blessings.

We have been offering gratitude for those on the front line, coming head to head with the pandemic every day.

Did you ever stop to think that you are, too? You may not be in the hospitals, grocery stores, supply warehouses, or medical labs, but you are heroically facing the pandemic every day, too.

Give thanks for your ability to face the unknown every day.

Give thanks for your ability to reach out to another person.

Give thanks for the memories and experiences you are creating.

Give thanks for feeling how you feel and the ability to feel them in the first place.

Give thanks for your ability to ride the rollercoaster of motivation...or lack thereof.

See your value in the midst of the day.

Are you a parent? If so, then you can give thanks for your ability to manage your household and support the at-home schooling efforts. You can also give thanks for your ability to think on your toes and finding creative ways to engage your kids in activities beyond screen time.

We all know this is tough.

We all know that we're in this together.

We all know that we are all impacted and affected.

Do we all know that we offer a lot when we offer our heart to another through kindness and compassion? I'm including the gestures that may be judged as small and insignificant that happen within the walls of your home.

The hugs.
The compassionate listening.
The open mind.
The joyful laughter.
The dance parties.
The games.
The shared tears.
The understanding offered.

Be gentle with wherever you are, know that it is enough, and give thanks to you.

May your days be filled with
health
breath
gratitude
play
creativity

Enjoy the video. I was going live on Facebook and my puppy Topaz decided he wanted to be part of it, too. Not that I don't want you to listen, but watch for him! He creeps along the wall, makes a brief appearance on the bench, his front paws appear on my lap, and then you can watch his reflection in the piano. He finally gets the big reveal at the end! It is "Give Thanks", arranged by Mark Hayes.

In light, love, peace, and HEALTH

Who are you thankful for? What are you thankful for? Do you include yourself when you give thanks?
